Allen County Sheriff’s Office offers tips for car break-ins

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – In Allen County over the weekend, a series of break-ins leave residents worried about what to do.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office received several calls late Friday and early Saturday morning about vehicles that were broken into along Bowling Green Road.

A few valuables including IDs and credit cards were taken from the vehicles.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages you to remove any valuables you may have in the car and lock your doors.

Another important tip involves any personal information that may be seen in your car.

“I wouldn’t leave my ID and any bank cards lying around in the vehicle, especially leaving them visible to to anyone walking by. If we can at least hide those, but if we could take them inside the house or get them out of the view to deter any crime from having,” Sgt. Travis Adams with the Sheriff’s Office says.
