Beshear provides Team Kentucky update

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Many people across Kentucky are still recovering from serious flooding. Those in Mayfield Kentucky area – much like here in bowling green are still trying to recover from the deadly tornadoes in December of 2021.

Today Gov. Andy Beshear discussed  several home evacuations and road closures. He also signed a state of emergency deceleration.
“The severe weather damage is nothing new for many Kentuckians”, the governor says the commonwealth is nothing if not resilient.
Despite significant damage in Mayfield and other areas, Beshear says there are no fatalities at this time.
Last night, water began to recede and teams are conducting damage assessments.
“Kentuckians are strong and resilient, but even more they are compassionate and kind.
During and after the flooding, we saw Kentuckians coming together. Neighbors helping neighbors, folks opening their homes and their hearts to those in need.” Beshear says.
