Bowling Green man indicted for illegal possession of a firearm

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man was indicted on a charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
According to an indictment returned on March 15, Kaylin Maxie, 28, possessed a semiautomatic pistol in February after having been convicted of several offenses.
Officials say these include when Maxie was convicted in April 2021 of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. On Aug. 27, 2019, Maxie was also convicted of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
If convicted, Maxie faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
This case is being investigated by the ATF Bowling Green Field Office and the Bowling Green Police Department.
