Metcalfe County Sheriff to run as a write-in candidate
EDMONTON, Ky.- Metcalfe County Sheriff Lonnie Hodges has filed to run for the office he occupied earlier this month, but he won’t be on the Republican ticket. Instead, he’ll be a write-in candidate.
As WNKY reported earlier this month, Hodges learned that the Metcalfe County Republican Committee selected a different candidate to run for sheriff in November.
The Republican Committee selected its secretary, Charles Costello.
Hodges was sworn-in as sheriff after Sheriff Ricky Brooks died of cancer on August 3.
