Warren County School Board approves property tax rate hike

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Warren County School Board voted in favor of a property tax hike Tuesday evening to support school safety initiatives.

Board members approved the measure 4-1.

The increase will jump from 45.6 cents to 46.1 cents per $100 of assessed value.

District officials say the money will be used to purchase additional security cameras, more security vestibules and to hire another resource officer.
