WKU Volleyball: Lady Tops embracing rare “underdog” role

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – For the first time since joining Conference USA in 2014, the WKU volleyball team is not the favorite to win the regular season title.

The Lady Tops were selected to finish third in the preseason poll, unfamiliar territory for a team that has dominated the conference since arriving on the scene.

Entering 2019, the team and head coach Travis Hudson, who’s beginning his 25th season with the team, are fully embracing their label as underdogs, especially because of the high level of confidence they have in what they’re capable of this season.
