90-year-old man drowns at Grayson Lake

A 90-year-old man drowned in Grayson Lake, Tuesday.

Oscar Roe Jr. went missing in the Bruin Boat Dock area off Route 7. A passerby saw the clothes Roe left on the dock and called 911. The Elliott County Coroner says Roe died while he was trying to swim to his boat, after it drifted away from a dock.

Rescue crews searched for an hour and a half, before they found his body in the middle of the lake.
