Metcalfe County Schools employee named KASA Administrator of the Year

EDMONTON, Ky.- An employee with the Metcalfe County School District has been named the Kentucky Association of School Administrators Administrator of the Year.

Jamie Howard is the school district’s director of instruction.

The award was presented at the association’s leadership institute conference in Louisville.

Howard has served the district for more than two decades as a teacher, counselor and principal.

The Administrator of the Year Award recognizes school administrators who have demonstrated outstanding educational leadership and who have made significant contributions to the effectiveness of KASA. Howard is the second administrator from Metcalfe County to win this award. Byron Jeffries was recognized as an Administrator of the Year in 2003.
