Classic cars crowd Sloan Convention center

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- Bowling Green is holding  a fun event for those who are fans of classic cars.

At the Sloan Convention Center, the North American Midget, Magna, and Magnette is being held, featuring 25 cars came from the United States and Canada. Models of MG’s are also on display.

The organization was created over 30 years ago to provide a networking and communication opportunity for car enthusiasts.

This is also a celebration of 90 years of Midget, Magna, and Magnette-Motoring. The original midget from 1929 was on display at the event.

Vice chairman of the North American Midget, Magna, and Magnette register, Tom Metcalf, says he enjoys the company of his fellow car enthusiasts.

“I’d never have visited Bowling Green if it wasn’t for this event. I’m glad I was able to come here with my car and I get to check out Bowling Green. We’re going to visit the corvette museum of course and do the other Bowling Green things. It’s nice to get out and have an excuse to visit other towns,” Metcalf said.

On June 21 at 5:30 p.m., the vehicles will be having a rally where they will all travel together.
