Bowling Green city leaders approve $1.2 million police evidence storage building

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- After a long debate, Bowling Green City Commissioners decided Tuesday evening to move forward with plans to build a new police evidence storage building.

The vote was 4-1 with Mayor Bruce Wilkerson voting against the project.

Much of the debate was over the price tag of the project that equals just over $1.2 million.

City officials told commissioners the building can’t be completed any cheaper.

The proposed site for the building is behind the police station on Adams and 10th on land already owned by the city.
