3 killed in wrong-way crash on I-75 in southern Kentucky

LONDON, Ky. (AP) — Officials say three people were killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 75 in southern Kentucky. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the crash happened late Monday in the southbound lanes near Exit 38. The London Police Department said in a Facebook post that the crash was caused by a wrong-way driver headed north in a pickup truck that slammed head-on into a vehicle heading south. Police say all three of the occupants in the southbound vehicle were killed. The driver of the pickup was taken to a hospital. No further information was immediately released.
