Ridley Roasthouse brings new meaning to ‘make your own coffee’

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-A local couple is bringing a new meaning to ‘make your own coffee’ in downtown Bowling Green.

Ben and Chrissi Ridley started Ridley Roasthouse during the pandemic. Fast forward to today, they operate out of the nearly 100-year-old Pushin Building off of Main Avenue, roasting their own coffee from start to finish

The specialty coffee is organic, fair trade and economically responsible.

Ridley Roasthouse likes to educate their customers about the harvesting process through their ‘roast your own batch sessions’ and team building events for companies.

“That allows people to come in, get specialty coffee service, pick their bean of their choice and then actually roast it on the roaster and leave with coffee. We’re taking a different approach to coffee as opposed to just going in and getting served a cup. We really like to immerse folks,” said owner and operator Ben Ridley.

“I wanted to be involved because I knew that this was gonna be a big part of my life, not just through my teens but also adulthood because the business grew so fast and it’s only going to keep growing,” said Roast Associate Ben Ridley (Ridley’s son).

They service restaurants, grocers, boutique hotels and gift shops throughout the state of Kentucky.
