Cave City receives $50,000 Emergency Services Grant

CAVE CITY, Ky.- The United States Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Development is awarding a $50,000 grant to Cave City to improve emergency services in the city.

The announcement was made Tuesday by south central Kentucky Congressman, Brett Guthrie.

Guthrie said the grant will allow the city to purchase new vehicles for the police and fire departments.

“Police officers and firefighters put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities and it’s important that they are able to use up-to-date technology to keep themselves and our communities safe,” said Guthrie.

Over 2,000 residents live in Cave City.
