Road project taking place near one of Bowling Green’s busiest intersections

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has started a highway safety improvement project near the intersection of Nashville Road and Campbell Lane.

Lane closures began Sunday night and are expected to take place multiple nights, from 8 p.m.-6 a.m., weather permitting.

Crews are also working during the day, but lane closures are not expected.

A new concrete median safety feature is being constructed. According to Transportation Cabinet officials, the new median will improve traffic safety by eliminating conflict points and preventing motorists from taking unsafe chances on that section of roadway. The traffic flow in the area will be improved and more efficient, according to the Transportation Cabinet.
