Grand jury indicts two on Logan County homicide
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Logan County grand jury recently indicted two people in a 2015 homicide.
Robert Wetton, 69, was killed Aug. 26, 2015 on Ellis Road in Russellville, Logan County Sheriff Stephen Stratton said.
“We were dispatched to a male subject found not breathing in a barn,” he said.
A state medical examiner determined Wetton’s manner of death as a homicide. His cause of death has not been publicly released, Stratton said.
A grand jury indicted Carolyn Jane Kinder, 35, of Bowling Green on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree persistent felony offender in Wetton’s death. Kinder was arrested Wednesday.
Earl K. Johnson, 60, of Lewisburg, was indicted on charges of conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance first offense, engaging in organized crime, murder, conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree persistent felony offender. All charges are related to the homicide investigation, according to the release.
Johnson is currently being held in an Arizona jail on drug charges there, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. Kinder is being held in the Logan County Detention Center.
