Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce hosts annual excellence awards luncheon

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce held its excellence awards luncheon today, where the ATHENA young professional award was given.

The Athena young professional award was awarded to Bowling Green Municipal Utilities marketing coordinator Shelley Lowe.

Lowe received this award for being a woman who has emerged as a leader, demonstrated excellence and for providing valuable service to her business.

Lowe has been a part of her organization for 12 years. She shared why she has made it to this point in her career.

“I think I’ve been really lucky to just be surrounded by awesome people who have shown me what it means to be a leader. I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of several small non profit organizations in the community,” said Lowe.

Lowe is also a member of the Professional Marketing Association, a LifeSkills Inc. board member and a chamber ambassador.
