2 injured in head-on collision in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Two drivers were taken to hospitals Tuesday evening after a head-on collision in Warren County’s Oakland community.

According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Bethel Lane.

Troopers believe, Jacob Sweeney, 31, of Bowling Green, crossed into the lane that Kelley Long, 24, of Bowling Green, was traveling in.

Police say the two vehicles collided head-on.

Authorities say Sweeney was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sweeney was listed in stable condition.

Long was taken to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for treatment of minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
