More than 700,000 meals donated through Hope for Homeless

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Realtors Hope for Homeless has had major success over the weekend.

Realtors collected beans, tuna, Ramen, veggies and other food over the past three days to help those who struggle with hunger.

The Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky and Hotel, INC partnered for the event. Realtors camped out in tents, and donations were accepted at various locations throughout the city.

The family resource coordinator at Bristow Elementary School said this has been the most successful year for the event.

“We’ve gotten over 20,000 cans of food just for Warren County schools alone. This food is going to go towards taking care of our families, making food boxes, weekend bags to go home for the kids who don’t have food at home. All our families in need are now going to be serviced,” said Chelsea Vincent, family resource coordinator at Bristow Elementary School.

So far more than 730,000 meals have been donated through Hope for Homeless.
