Executive Director leaving position at Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Communications Center

GLASGOW, Ky.- The man at the helm of the Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Communications Center has announced he’s leaving his position.

Chris Freeman will be taking a job at the Marshall County 911 Center.

Freeman, who will work another two weeks in barren county, has spent just 19 months as the executive director.

During his tenure, the emergency communications center started a Text to 911 program.

Freeman was also selected as a board member of the national Next Gen 911 Institute.

It’s unclear who will take Freeman’s place.
