Griffs Deli and Popworks team up at Serving up Autism

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Griffs Deli and Popworks are teaming up to educate the community about Autism.

Sandwiches and salads from Griffs, and Popsicles from Popworks were on sale at the event.

Proceeds from the sales will be used to support programs that help children with Autism.

Autism is a developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact.

Griffs deli owners, Ed Griffin and his wife Micha, have a son with autism. Raising awareness about the disorder is personal for them.

“This is our 8th annual Serving up Awareness event. All the proceeds from today’s sales go to the Renshaw Early Childhood Center. They’re even out here representing today, answering questions, doing screeners, talking to people and just educating them about Autism and how it effects people here in the community,” said Ed Griffin, Owner at Griffs Deli.

The Renshaw Early Childhood Center provides learning opportunities for children with autism and other learning abilities.
