Glasgow man accused of assaulting woman who lives with him

GLASGOW, Ky.- A Glasgow man is behind bars, accused of assaulting a woman he lives with.
According to Glasgow police, officers responded to a home in the 400 block of Humble Avenue, in reference to a domestic complaint.
Police say their investigation revealed that Paul Bruton, 43, had punched the woman in the face multiple times, leaving her with a broken denture plate, a possible broken nose and other lacerations.
Police say Bruton was upset because the woman told him she was moving.
Police say they could smell alcohol coming from Bruton’s breath as he was talking to investigators.
Bruton was arrested and charged with fourth-degree domestic assault-third or greater offense within five years, making it a felony.
Bruton is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
