81 arrested following federal law enforcement operation in Kentucky
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are reporting that 81 people with illegal citizenship status in the U.S. have been arrested.
Officials say this resulted from an enhanced targeted enforcement operation held between March 10 and March 14 and included multiple federal law enforcement agencies in Kentucky.
Twenty five of the arrests were charged with criminal offenses, including illegal reentry, illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of controlled substances.
Those who were not charged criminally will be held in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.
Arrests included people from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Cuba, India and Palau.
