8 puppies dumped in Hart County, shelter says

HART COUNTY – The Hart County Animal Shelter located abandoned puppies on Thursday.
According to a social media post by the shelter, eight puppies were dumped at Campground Road and Mount Vernon Road between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm.
The shelter says the puppies were left in a basket by an unknown individual. The puppies eventually got out of the basket and began wandering around the area.
HCAS is asking anyone with information about the puppies to call 270-524-1692.
The shelter will hold the puppies for five days to give the puppies’ owner to come forward.
After five days, the shelter will begin adopting the puppies.
HCAS says, “Even after being dumped, they were still trying to play. That’s how resilient and loving they are despite being failed by humans.”
