8-month-long drug investigation nets 12 arrests in Barren County

GLASGOW, Ky.- The Barren River Drug Task Force announced Wednesday that it has concluded an investigation that spanned over the last eight months, resulting in a dozen arrests.

The 22 count indictment led to the arrests of 12 people on drug trafficking, organized crime and other charges, according to a news release from the Barren River Drug Task Force.

According to the law enforcement agency, the investigation revealed that numerous pounds of crystal methamphetamine was being distributed around Barren County through the criminal organization.

The investigation concluded with a round up titled, Fall Harvest. The task force confiscated approximately $14,000 worth of illegal drugs, with approximately 136 grams of crystal methamphetamine, along with marijuana, prescription pills and two handguns. Between November 18 and November 22, the task force arrested:

All subjects are lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
