4th of July holiday brings increased concerns of drunk driving
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Fourth of July being a major summer holiday means an increase in alcohol use.
Kentucky State Police want to remind you alcohol and driving make for a deadly combination.
To deter people from driving under the influence, KSP will be stepping up enforcement this weekend in an effort to make the roads safer.
Ksp Trooper Daniel Priddy says they’ll be looking for more than drunk driving. If you’re caught speeding or texting while driving, you could receive a ticket.
Priddy also recommends calling a taxi or using a ride-sharing service if you plan on drinking alcohol as part of your celebration this year.
