440 Main celebrates Mardi Gras for 26th year in a row

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-It’s Fat Tuesday and one establishment in Bowling Green is celebrating big!

440 Main is celebrating Mardi Gras for the 26th year. The owner is actually from Monroe, Louisiana.

They’ll have live music tonight by the Dad Bods and Marmalade for those dining in.

Dinner specials include fresh oysters, baked oysters champagne, fire cracker fried gator bites, king cake bread pudding and more.

“I think it’s part of Bowling Green history now that it’s been going on this long and we’re really one of the only places in the area that’s tied to New Orleans and the Mardi Gras lifestyle,” said executive chef Lee Hunt.

You can’t forget the cocktails- hurricanes, hand grenade shots and sazeracs, one of the oldest drinks out of New Orleans.
