4 Things You Need to Know: September 5, 2025

•  The Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive today from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn University Plaza.
• Enjoy the First Friday Street Fair and Car Show today in Allen County. There will be food trucks, artisan vendors, farmers’ market, live entertainment, and much more. The event starts at 6 p.m. in Scottsville’s downtown.
• Over in Barren County, kids can join the Mary  Wood Weldon Memorial Library for its “Not Back to School Bash.” Wear your homeschool uniform, your pajamas, bring gently used homeschool items to exchange and enjoy free ice cream and meeting new friends! The event starts at 1 p.m.
• You can head over to Chaney’s Dairy Barn and enjoy your ice cream while watching Lilo & Stitch! Make sure to bring your own blanket or lawn chair. For more information, call 270-843-5567
