31-year-old Bowling Green man charged with distribution of obscene matter to minor
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is behind bars after allegedly sending explicit images and messages to a minor.
According to a uniform citation, Bowling Green police responded Thursday, Aug. 6 regarding a reported delayed sex offense. Police say a a victim allegedly received sexually explicit messages from an adult male.
According to the citation, after police reviewed some of these messages and information associated with them, they interviewed 31-year-old Shawn Sleeper of Bowling Green.
After an apartment search and seizing multiple electronic devices, Sleeper was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail. He remains incarcerated on a $25,000 cash bond.
He faces charges of procure or promote use of a minor by electronic means, third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, tampering with physical evidence and distribution of obscene matter to minors, first offense.
