3 thoroughbreds killed, driver injured in Bardstown trailer crash

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. – Three thoroughbred horses are dead and a man has been hospitalized after a tractor trailer drove off of a highway bridge and into a ditch.
On Monday around 4 a.m., the Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County EMS got a call about an injury accident.
The fire department says a tractor trailer pulling a transport coach was traveling east when it left the roadway, crossing over the westbound lanes and crashing into Highway 150’s bridge embankment.
Multiple units responded, including numerous veterinarians.
Four other horses remain injured after the incident, authorities say.
