3 indicted in multi-county cattle theft investigation, says Metcalfe County sheriff

EDMONTON, Ky. – Two men have been indicted on felony charges following an investigation into cattle thefts.

Metcalfe County Sheriff Lonnie Hodges says MSCO and the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations section have been conducting a long-term investigation into cattle thefts in Barren, Hart, Hardin, and Metcalfe Counties.

Hodges says following witness interviews and the execution of search warrants, three individuals have been indicted in the Hardin County Circuit Court.

Two of the individuals are Robert C. White, 32, of Edmonton, and Jeremy C. White, 38, of Hardyville.

Both are charged with engaging in organized crime and theft by deception, including cold checks $1,000 < $10,000 (complicity).

Jeremy White was lodged at the Hardin County Detention Center.

The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Hardin County and the United States Secret Service are assisting the investigation.

Hodges says additional arrests may be made.

The investigation is ongoing.
