3 die in wrong-way crash on bridge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Officials say three people have died in a wrong-way crash on a bridge connecting Kentucky and southern Indiana. Police in Louisville, Kentucky, told news outlets a preliminary investigation found that a Kia SUV was going east in the westbound left lane of the Sherman Minton bridge while three other vehicles were in the same lane and headed west. The Kia SUV hit one vehicle head-on and both drivers and a passenger in a Kia Soul died. The Jefferson County coroner’s office identified those in the Kia Soul on Monday as a mother and her 3-year-old son from Georgetown, Indiana.
