3 dead in fatal Leslie County house fire

HYDEN, Ky. – Three people are dead after a house fire in Leslie County.

According to a release, the Kentucky State Police responded to a structure fire along Highway 421 in Hyden Friday evening.

Fire departments arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the house fire.

A search of the home was conducted and the bodies of Lisa Marcum, 56; Jadeana Begley, 50; and June Nantz, 84, all of Hyden, were discovered.

The Leslie County Coroner’s Office pronounced them dead at the scene.

KSP says no foul play is suspected.

The investigation is ongoing.
