Cutting-edge fiber optics company selects Bowling Green as headquarters

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new fiber optics company has selected Warren County as its headquarters.

According to a Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce release, OgMentum ARK announced its headquarters and research and development operations will be located in Bowling Green.

It will become OgMentum’s hub for fiber optic development and manufacturing of advanced technologies with applications across communications and sensing, addressing datacom, telecom, structural health, and gas sensing in commercial and national defense markets.

The release states the $475,000 project is expected to create 25 high-wage jobs in Warren County over the first three years. Positions include scientists, engineers, technicians, and administrators.

$195.8 million long-term economic impact is expected.

OgMentun will partner with Western Kentucky University to train technical talent in fiber optics.
