Ribbon cutting to recognize new and improved Fountain Square Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- After months of construction, the city of Bowling Green will officially cut the ribbon Tuesday on the new and improved downtown square.

City officials will be holding a ribbon-cutting at Fountain Square Park, tomorrow at 3 p.m.

The months-long $3.9 million project replaced all sidewalks in and around the park. New crosswalks were also installed, in addition to more bicycle parking, parallel parking spaces and pedestrian crossing indicator poles.

Both Capitol Alley and Morris Alley were also updated.
