Community Coffee Connection launches in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow coffee company is launching a community initiative.
Honey’s Coffee Co., which will open The Hive Coffee & Bakehouse in Downtown Glasgow announced a new coffee-based initiative on Sunday. Honey’s Coffee Co. will partner with Flours Bake Shop for Community Coffee Connection.
“We always knew we wanted Honey (our coffee camper) to be a community partner. It was such a joy to contribute to the Community Relief Fund last winter and inevitable that these types of events would become a regular initiative for us,” said Savannah White, co-owner of Honey’s Coffee Co. and owner of Studio 22 Marketing, a title sponsor. “While we are excited to open our brick-and-mortar location by the end of the year, we plan to keep Honey on the road as a means for community outreach.”
Honey’s Coffee is a mobile coffee shop serving ethically and sustainably sourced coffee from a vintage camper in South Central Kentucky.
The first Community Coffee Connection event will take place on Friday, June 14 Marshall’s parking lot in Glasgow from 7 AM to 1 PM. 100% of profits will be donated to the Community Relief Fund.
Honey’s Coffee Co. will partner with local coffee shops in Glasgow and Barren County. Partners for the event include Southern Cup Coffee & Cafe, Fine Arts Bistro, Scooters Coffee, and Ace Coffee Co. Baristas from each shop will work at Honey’s on Friday, June 14.
“I think it’s incredibly special to see all of us coming together- all coffee shops, essentially doing the same if not similar things for a living to support our community,” said Danielle Certain, owner of Wild Flours Bake Shop and co-owner of The Hive Coffee & Bakehouse.
Honey Coffee Co. asks those interested in being a partner or any inquiries about the event, email honeyscoffeeco@gmail.com.
