2024 All-State football offense and defense awards

BOLWING GREEN, Ky. – Another season of high school football is in the books, and this year saw outstanding performances on the field all across Kentucky.

The 2024 All-State football teams came out on December 23 and check out which players from the Bowling Green area stood out this season.

 

OFFENSE

First Team

WR – Trevy Barber, Bowling Green Purples (1,327 receiving yards, 22 touchdown pass receptions)

OL – Cameron Bell, South Warren Spartans

Third Team

QB – Deuce Bailey, Bowling Green Purples (3,183 passing yards, 423 rushing yards, 45 touchdown pass completions, 5 rushing touchdowns)

Honorable Mention

QB – Bryce Button, South Warren Spartans (2,853 passing yards, 257 rushing yards, 39 touchdown pass completions, 8 rushing touchdowns)

RB – Byron Kirkland-Lundy, Metcalfe County Hornets (1,687 rushing yards, 26 rushing touchdowns)

RB – Tyson Martin, Caverna Colonels (1,289 rushing yards, 21 rushing touchdowns)

WR – Jaxson Byrd, Barren County Trojans (503 receiving yards, 5 touchdown pass receptions)

 

DEFENSE

First Team

DL – Colton Veltkamp, South Warren Spartans (79 total tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 19 defensive sacks, 1 interception)

Second Team

LB – Brennan Griffin, Hart County Raiders (188 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, 1 defensive sack)

Third Team

P – Braden Widener, Bowling Green Purples (67 extra points scored, 9 field goals made, 64.3% field goals made)

Honorable Mention

LB – Montez Trussell, Bowling Green Purples (121 total tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, 16 defensive sacks)
