2 transported for injuries following Glasgow collision

GLASGOW, Ky. – Two people were transported for treatment following a reported collision in Glasgow on Friday.

According to a release by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an injury collision at the intersection of South Green Street and Sunset Avenue.

Upon arrival, authorities say they learned a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 28-year-old Barbara Ortiz-Valle of Glasgow was attempting to turn right from Sunset Avenue onto South Green Street.

While navigating the turn, Ortiz-Valle turned into the path of a 2018 Toyota Camry driven by 24-year-old Desarae Hatcher of Glasgow.

Hatcher and a passenger were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for their injuries.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Glasgow Fire Department and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
