2 more Butler County residents die from COVID-19

MORGANTOWN, Ky.- The Barren River District Health Dept. reported on Wednesday that two more individuals from Butler County have died due to the coronavirus.

Details on the individuals who died were not released and it’s unclear if they lived or worked at a nursing facility in Morgantown where dozens of staff and residents have contracted the virus.

Butler County has now lost three of its residents, while elsewhere locally, Simpson County has lost two.

As far as the number of positive cases are concerned, Warren, Butler and Barren Counties saw increases on Wednesday:

Warren County: 52 (+3)
Butler County: 50 (+5)
Simpson County: 17
Logan County: 8
Barren County: 7 (+1)
Edmonson County: 7
Allen County: 6
Hart County: 1
The health department reported that 31 locals have fully recovered from the virus.
