2 Metcalfe County women accused of burglarizing residence

EDMONTON, Ky.- Investigators in Metcalfe County have arrested two women after authorities said they were caught breaking into a residence.

Investigators said the crime occurred on Saturday, October 12 at 6 p.m. on Glen Shaw Road.

According to the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, the landowner caught Miriah Wright, 43, and Estelle Geis, 54, breaking into the residence.

Deputies said when the women were taken into custody, they recovered tools used to commit the burglary and property that they were attempting to steal.

Both women are charged with multiple offenses, including third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking-under $500.

Wright and Geis are lodged in the Barren County Detention Center, where they are both being held on a $2,000 bond.
