2 men indicted following Corvette thefts in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two men are indicted on charges stemming from the theft of eight Corvettes in March.
According to court records, 21-year-old Deantae Cortez Walker of Westland, Michigan and 22-year-old Amarion Jordan were indicted on May 21 on charges of engaging in organized crime, complicity in theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others between $1,000,000 and $10,000,000 and first-degree criminal mischief.
In addition, Walker is indicted on charges of tampering with physical evidence, third-degree fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.
Nearly two months ago, on March 22, the Bowling Green Police Department and Warren County Sheriff’s Office worked a case involving the theft of eight Corvettes from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Bowling Green.
Authorities say they were able to recover all of the vehicles within the same day.
Police say BGPD dispatch received a call from the WCSO regarding a report of a brand new Corvette at an apartment complex at 490 Plano Road.
Upon arrival, authorities say they located other stolen Corvettes off of Cumberland Trace.
Bowling Green police were later dispatched that afternoon for a suspicious incident potentially connected to the stolen Corvettes.
Police say a driver for a transport company called stating he had arrived to transport a 2017 Corvette at 150 American Ave. Upon arrival, police say the caller stated two subjects were there with three 2025 Corvettes for transport.
The driver stated the individuals started to rush him while he was getting the vehicles onto the truck, according to police, and that there was damage to the bottom of a car.
Police say they caught one individual, Walker, as they attempted to move the cars out of town and fled in the parking lot. Walker currently remains at the Warren County Regional Jail. Body camera footage of Walker’s arrest can be viewed below.

Jail records state Jordan was apprehended in Michigan at a later date. He remains at the Oakland County Jail in Michigan.
