2 charged with drug trafficking after home search in Auburn

AUBURN, Ky. – A man and woman are facing drug charges in relation to a search at a residence in Auburn.

According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s office arrived at Echo Valley Road on Friday after receiving information that a subject wanted on an active warrant had been staying in the area.

Deputies say subjects unrelated to the warrant, identified as Brian Hadden, 48, and Callie Young, 34, exited a building.

Inside the building, authorities say they located around 191 grams of methamphetamine, nearly 6.4 grams of suspected crack, a scale and methamphetamine pipes.

While searching a room that Hadden stays in, deputies say they located another methamphetamine pipe, a small amount of marijuana and a suspected hydrocodone pill bottle with another person’s name on it.

Young stated she did not know about the drugs located inside of the building.

Hadden additionally had $1,176 on his person.

Both Hadden and Young were arrested.

Hadden is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or greater offense (greater or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, drug paraphernalia – delivery/manufacture, possession of marijuana and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (hydrocodone).

Young is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or greater offense (greater or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 4 grams of cocaine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, drug paraphernalia – delivery/manufacture and failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation.

Both remain at the Logan County Detention Center.
