2 charged with burglary after incident on Thoroughbred Drive

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two men are behind bars in Warren County after police say they broke into a home and damaged someone’s car.

On Sunday, the Bowling Green Police Department says they got a call around 4 a.m. about a delayed burglary at the 2000 block of Thoroughbred Drive.

A female caller told police that someone had forced entry into the front door of her apartment, stole her boyfriend’s wallet and damaged his car.

The caller told officers that she had received photo evidence from a friend who linked the crime to 19-year-old Alexis Collins.

Police located Collins at his apartment, where he admitted to taking multiple sets of keys, a wallet and a bag from the apartment, as well as damaging the male victim’s car and taking the female victim’s car.

Collins was arrested and told police 22-year-old Alan Stark drove him to the victim’s apartment and knew that he was going to break in.

Stark admitted to driving the vehicle but says he never entered the apartment. He was also arrested, and both men are currently held at the Warren County Detention Center.

Collins is charged with second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition auto between $10,000 and $1,000,000, first-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others between $500 and $1,000.

Stark is charged with second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition auto between $10,000 and $1,000,000 and unlawful taking or disposition all others between $500 and $1,000.
