2 charged in credit card fraud case at Bowling Green pawn shop

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two people are facing charges in relation to credit card fraud at a Bowling Green pawn shop.
The Bowling Green Police Department received a call The Pawn Company about three people in a gray Tesla that were involved in credit card fraud, according to a uniform citation.
Prior to arrival to the 400 block of Old Morgantown Road, police say they saw the Tesla and three subjects leaving the vehicle toward a Mexican restaurant.
Police say they detained all three and questioned them.
Upon a vehicle search, police say they located a credit card swipe machine.
David Reid, 30 of Lithonia, Georgia, was found to possess several IDs and credit cards, police say. The uniform citation states police were told all three people had entered The Pawn Company when Reid bought jewelry for $3,798,50 with three different credit cards.
At least one card was found to be charged for $1,789.50, police say.
Reid was arrested and is charged with fraudulent use of credit card between $1,000 and $10,000, second-degree criminal possession of forged instrument and trafficking in financial information.
In addition, Kymainie Campbell-Phang, 31 of Snellville, Georgia, was arrested. She is charged with fraudulent use of a credit card (complicity) and trafficking in financial information (complicity).
Campbell-Phang stated she was renting the gray Tesla and that she was the only person driving.
Both remain at the Warren County Detention Center.
