2 charged after alleged assault, robbery in Taylor County

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Two are charged with robbery after allegedly assaulting a man.

According to the Campbellsville Police Department (CPD), officers responded to a reported robbery in the City Lake area just before midnight Monday.

The victim told police that two individuals assaulted and held him at gunpoint. Police say the suspects stole the victim’s money, phone and car.

Following an investigation, officers recovered the victim’s property and arrested 38-year-old Nikita Looper and 29-year-old Fabian Echols with first-degree robbery, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense), and drug paraphernalia buy/possess,

Both are lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
