2 arrested on drug, gun charges with child in vehicle

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two on drug and child endangerment charges.

The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force says detectives conducted a traffic stop on Franklin Road at the intersection of New Buck Creek Road on Tuesday.

Detectives identified the driver as Ronnie Wilmoth, 28, of Lebanon, Tennessee. Taylor Pippin, 28, of Lebanon, Tennessee, and a child were also in the vehicle.

Detectives deployed K9 Morgan to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle. Morgan detected a positive alert for narcotics.

The task force says suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, multiple prescription pills, and a handgun were located inside the vehicle.

Pippin and Wilmoth were taken into custody and are lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.

Wilmoth is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense – (> or = 2 gms methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense hydrocodone, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of handgun by convicted felon, and possession of marijuana.

Pippin is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense – (> or = 2 gms methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense hydrocodone, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
