2 arrested on drug charges in Barren County

GLASGOW, Ky. – Two people are facing drug charges in Barren County.
According to a uniform citation, the Glasgow Police Department observed a male subject and female subject on Samson Street early Wednesday morning.
Police say an officer observed the male subject holding a bag before jumping over a retaining wall.
Authorities say upon opening the bag, they found suspected synthetic marijuana.
The male subject, 31-year-old Logan Matthews of Glasgow, was arrested on a warrant. Police say Matthews denied ownership of the bag that was found.
The female subject, identified as 22-year-old Miranda Holbrook, was also arrested.
Holbrook is charged with possession of synthetic drugs, first offense. Matthews faces charges of trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense, and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence, minor injury).
Both remain at the Barren County Detention Center.
