2 arrested after traffic stop in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Two people are facing charges in Scottsville.
On Tuesday, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it stopped a vehicle around 8:45 a.m. on the 3,000 block of Old Gallatin Road.
Deputies say the passenger of the vehicle, identified as Joshua Burgett, 47, was taken into custody on an active warrant.
The operator, identified as Tammy Hammock, 55, possessed a bag of methamphetamine and multiple Xanax pills, according to deputies.
Burgett is charged with failure to appear. Hammock is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine) and third-degree possession of a controlled substance – drug unspecified.
Both were transported to the Allen County Detention Center. Burgett has since been released.
