2 arrested in Franklin after agents locate over 5 pounds of marijuana in home

FRANKLIN, Ky. -Two people are facing charges in relation to a drug bust at a Franklin home.
According to a uniform citation, Antonio Digiuseppe, 28, of Franklin and Caitlin Hackworth, 28, of Franklin were arrested on Oct. 31 on charges of trafficking in marijuana (greater than 5 pounds), first offense, drug paraphernalia – deliver/manufacture and second-degree possession of a controlled substance – hallucinogen.
On Sept. 26, agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force say they received an anonymous tip stating Digiuseppe was living at a residence on Blackjack Road while receiving large amounts “of fentanyl and marijuana from out of state.”
During an investigation, the citation says agents gained a search warrant due to probable cause.
Agents say they executed the search warrant at the home on Oct. 30, where they detained Digiuseppe.
The citation states Digiuseppe stated there was about 7 pounds of marijuana in the house and that he smoked it and sold some of it.
Inside of the home, agents say they found over 5 pounds of marijuana, along with several items of drug paraphernalia. In addition, the citation states agents located a large amount of cash, a firearm and suspected psilocybin mushrooms.
Hackworth was living in the home at the time, according to agents. The citation states Hackworth stated she “hand an idea” of what was going on inside of the home.
Both have since been released from the Simpson County Jail.
