2 arrested after theft of over $1 million in jewelry from Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVJ) – Over $1 million worth of gold and jewelry were stolen in Nashville, Tennessee.
Police say two suspects ended up in a Miami Beach hotel, which is over 900 miles south from the crime scene.
A south Florida pair walked into a jewelry store in Nashville, where the situation escalated when police say Orlando Valdes Hernandez jumped over the counter, pointed something at the employee and brought him to the back.
Meanwhile, Milleni Garcia and an unknown suspect grabbed anything they could get their hands on.
Hernandez and Garcia left Nashville and fled to Miami after allegedly stealing over $1 million worth of gold and unique pieces of jewelry.
However, the duo was caught at the Grand Beach Hotel. Both will be brought back to Tennessee to face multiple charges.
