KNOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Two men are behind bars after a reported shooting claimed a life in Daviess County.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Ayden Farrow of La Grange has been arrested on charges of first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension and tampering with physical evidence.

In addition, deputies say an arrest warrant was ordered for a second suspect, 20-year-old James Carr. Jail records state Carr was arrested Monday.

Authorities say the arrests follow an overnight shooting Saturday near Highway 144 and Saint Lawrence Road in the Knottsville community.

Deputies say it was initially reported that, during an altercation at a field party, a subject began firing a handgun, striking multiple people.

Victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Deputies say a 19-year-old male victim died from his wounds shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The other victim, a juvenile, was released Saturday afternoon, authorities say.

Currently, authorities say evidence gathered while executing search warrants on a suspect vehicle and residences has tied the suspects to the shooting.

Carr is charged with murder, second-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence, deputies say. Both individuals remain at the Daviess County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
